Optional Days

Optional Days are not earned and therefore are not payable upon termination and are not eligible to be carried over. These days must be scheduled in advance with manager approval.

Optional days are intended to be used by employees to take care of necessary personal business or personal activities that cannot be done during normal business hours (such as bank transactions, moves, court issues, etc.). These days also can be utilized to satisfy personal desires to observe holidays not observed by the Company’s holiday schedule.

Regular, full-time employees who have been employed by the Company for a full year are entitled to three (3) optional days.
During an employee’s first year of employment Optional Days are prorated according to the chart below:
 For those starting between January 1 and April 30 = 2 Optional Days
 For those starting between May 1 and August 31 = 1 Optional Day
 For those starting after September 1 = 0 Optional Days
